Walter Brooks

Director of Communications and Marketing

Walter Brooks brings over 35 years of communications and public relations experience to the Center for Human Diversity support staff. This background includes more than 20 years combined service in corporate communications and public relations at the Mutual of Omaha World Headquarters, ConAgra Food Corporation World Headquarters and at the University of Nebraska Medical Center – the state’s largest medical complex. He has traveled extensively in both the United States and overseas, including a stint as English teacher in Taiwan and Thailand. Walter, who lives by the credo that “the best education a man receives is the one he gives himself,” is one of the most well-read individuals in the United States, specializing in multi-cultural history and social analysis.

 
   
 
     

Larry Walker

Director of Training

Larry Walker is a retired 24-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force. His military career was centered on training and instructional management. He developed and implemented training systems, supervised course development, performed numerous objectives as a team leader and is a certified U.S. Department of Defense Instructional Systems Development Specialist. He has an associate of arts and science degree in Education and Training Technology from the Community College of the Air Force. He also is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Senior Staff Management School in Gunter; AL. Larry brings a steady, calming professionalism to the Center for Human Diversity, in terms of event planning and site representation.
