Parents are not informed
As parents we worry about the safety of our children. From the moment they are born we make every effort to keep our children from harm - everyday in every way. EXCEPT when it comes to STDs/STIs. I am still amazed at the parents who are naive enough to believe that everyone ELSE’s children/youth are involved in unsafe behavior - from drinking and experimenting with drugs to random sexual activity. Young people believe they are invulnerable and that they are smart. It is the job of the parent to help them understand their limitations. PLEASE - talk to your young children about the concept of sex and make sure they know the physical and psychological dangers. If you need assistance or if you need to update your own education feel free to contact me at the Center for Human Diversity valda@centerforhumandiversity.org or at valdaf@cdhcmedical.com. I can connect you to the people and places you need to be an informed parent.
